The Health Sciences Library is open Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM- 5:00 PM (closed Saturday and Sunday), to anyone with a UVA Health ID. (Our large 24 hours space is open to anyone with a UVA Health ID when the library is open or closed.) On-site services are limited. A mask or face covering is required at all times and social distancing must be observed. The majority of Library staff continue to work remotely to provide services. The Claude Moore Health Sciences Library dashboard has been created to provide at-a-glance views of Library key performance indicators (KPIs) and ensure transparency of library services. The dashboard will be used to assess overall services of the Health Sciences Library and to better our service to the UVA Health System. KPIs were created based on the Mission, Vision and Values of the HSL. We aim to prove that our services are in line with the UVA Health System, Research, and Academic departments and show that we provide them with the tools to meet their goals.
What is Library Assessment
Library Assessment is an ongoing systematic process to better understand our user communities and evaluate how well we are supporting our patrons' needs. It is done by tracking the library's collection usage, space usage, and service points. By analyzing and interpreting these statistics, we can respond to the needs of our users.
