Strengths:
Good options for collecting, and managing citations, and integrating into manuscript or thesis.
Good integration with Microsoft Word for in-text citations, creating bibliographies and editing citations.
“Find full-text” tool.
Share databases (libraries) up to 100 people
6000+ predefined bibliographic formatting styles
Good option for major research projects can handle a large amount of references.
Great Customer support staff.
 
Weaknesses:  
 Limited portability for EndNote since the database primarily resides on computer hard drive, however, syncing is available through EndNote Basic.
 Takes longer to learn.
 Costs money
 
Cost: Free
Platform: Web-based.
Strengths:
Updates are seamless as it is web-based.
  Can be accessed from any computer. 
  Easier to learn than the desktop version.
Weaknesses:  
  Limited reference and attachment storages.
  Limited capabilities compared to EndNote X8.
  Need Internet connection.
