LibKey Nomad is a browser extension that enables easy, one-click access to UVA’s electronic resources. With LibKey Nomad, you are able to quickly download PDFs from many publisher websites, PubMed, Web of Science, and more.
Once installed, users will see LibKey Nomad buttons while browsing for resources. These are the most common buttons users will see:
Download PDF means that the library has access to this PDF. Click the button to go directly to the article and download the PDF version.
Article Link also means that the library has this item. Click the button to be directed to the article page for access to either the HTML or PDF version of the article.
Access Options means that the library may not have this item, but it can be requested via Document Delivery. Clicking the button will take you to Find@UVA where you can find more information about the item. If it’s not available, please click on the link to the Health Sciences Library’s Interlibrary Loan service.
View Complete Issue will bring you to Browzine where you can view the table of contents of the journal issue in which the article was published.

The LibKey Nomad browser extension is available for Chrome, Firefox, Microsoft Edge, Brave, Safari, and Vivaldi, and can be downloaded from ThirdIron’s website. Once the extension has been added, you will be asked to select an institution. Select “University of Virginia.” Information regarding ThirdIron’s privacy policy is available at their website.
