We are excited to announce our lineup of workshops and events for October! Whether you’re looking to enhance your research skills, dive deeper into data analysis, or explore new tools, we have something for you. Here’s what’s coming up:

October 1: Introduction to Zotero Workshop Kick off the month by learning how to manage your references and bibliographies with Zotero. This workshop is perfect for anyone new to this powerful tool.

October 2: Excel Bytes - More Pivot Tables and Pivot Charts Join us for an advanced session on Excel where we will explore pivot tables and pivot charts in greater detail. This workshop is ideal for those looking to take their Excel skills to the next level.

October 2: Statistics in R - Logistic Regression Also on October 2nd, we have a workshop focused on logistic regression using R. This session is designed for those who want to deepen their understanding of statistical analysis in R.

October 16: Lab Archives Notebook Training Learn how to effectively use Lab Archives for your research documentation. This training will help you streamline your lab work and keep your data organized.

October 23: Open Access and Research Symposium Join us for a symposium on Open Access and research. This event will cover the latest trends and best practices in making your research accessible to a wider audience.

For this year's United Way Day of Caring, a dedicated group of Health Sciences Library staff volunteered at Ranger's Refuge at Gallastar in Esmont, Virginia.  This compassionate team spent the day assisting with various task, from building fences to cleaning spaces.  Their efforts contributed to ensuring the well-being of the animals and supporting the center's mission of providing a safe haven for rescued animals.  Kudos to the Health Sciences Library team for their incredible contribution!
