We are delighted to introduce our new Archivist for Historical Collections, Amanda Greenwood. Amanda has a Master of Information Science in Archives and Records Management from the University at Albany - SUNY, a Master of Liberal Arts in Extension from Harvard University, and is a Certified Archivist as certified by the Academy of Certified Archivists. She has over 20 years of expertise in academic instruction, research, and publishing as a former lecturer of English literature in universities across the country and abroad in South Korea. Amanda’s writings and research interests focus on trauma and emotions in archival work; web archiving labor, sustainability, and maintenance; and the intersection of postcolonialism and masculinity in the works of James Joyce.

We are pleased to have Amanda on board as she manages the preservation of physical and born-digital collections with the goal of improving discoverability and accessibility, including 90 archives and manuscript collections, over 2,000 medical artifacts, 30,000 rare books, and a web archives collection.
