We’re thrilled to introduce our new Research and Data Services Librarian, Ryan Hedrick. Ryan has a Master of Library Science from Indiana University Bloomington and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Before starting his library career, Ryan worked as a newspaper journalist for The Daily Dispatch in Henderson, NC. After receiving his Masters, Ryan took a position as the Data Management Librarian at the University of Texas at Arlington. While at UTA he worked on a number of projects, including the creation of a new institutional repository, as well as helping establish the Day Family Research Lab, a research hub focused on supporting researchers through every aspect of the research lifecycle. In his spare time, Ryan enjoys reading, playing video games, and hiking.
We’re delighted to have Ryan on board as he works to enable researchers to better understand the changing landscape of scholarly communication, especially new public access policies and funder requirements.
