Research and Data Services

Data Services and Resources

Data Services at the Health Sciences Library (Data @ HSL) provides a central location to find biomedical data and statistics training opportunities and data consultation services for Health System faculty, staff, and students.

Data @ HSL helps guide researchers, students, and medical professionals in finding biomedical data, cleaning and wrangling the data, analyzing the data, and creating publication-ready visualizations. The services provided by the team involve individual consultations that allow a researcher to get focused assistance on specific data questions and workshops to assist researchers in learning novel data analysis techniques and software.

Data @ HSL includes expert consultations on statistical software such as R, GraphPad Prism, Excel, Stata, SAS, and SPSS.

Examples of questions we can assist you with include:

  • How do I use R to create a publication-ready plot?
  • How do I clean my data to ready it for analysis?
  • What software package will be best for me to learn and use?
  • Where do I find a dataset on my topic?
  • What type of data analysis do I need to do?

Need one-on-one help, Request a Consultation.
