DMS Plans may need to be updated or revised over the course of a project. Reasons include changes to the type(s) of data generated, the availability of a more appropriate data repository, or changes to sharing timelines. Investigators should update the Plan to reflect changes that occur during the award or support period that affect how data is managed or shared, discussing with the Program Officer if needed. Prior approval of the NIH ICO is required for any revision to an approved DMS plan. At UVA, requests to modify an approved DMS plan must be routed to the Authorized Submitting Office via Research UVA Powered By Huron for submission to the sponsor.
