HSL's main site underwent a redesign over the summer and we hope you're enjoying an improved experience while using hsl.virginia.edu.
While the experience of navigating the main page changed, the content and navigation of the nursing guide pages hasn't. Any links you've been using to point to pages on this guide still remain active.
While these changes didn't impact the content of the School of Nursing library guides, these guide pages are being actively updated with new content, so you can expect further additions coming soon.
Zotero 7.0 has been released and we encourage you to manually update Zotero to the new version.
Functionality remains largely unchanged but the display has changed significantly.
Zotero resources on this guide will be updated in the near future. Learn more about the update.
Our library instructional session calendar has been updated for the fall semester, including courses in Zotero, Python, R, and much more.
Welcome to the UVA School of Nursing library resources homepage at the Health Sciences Library. Please follow the tabs on the left side of the page to navigate information resources by topic or program. You can also review the Library Orientation for Nursing Students page on this guide.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me via e-mail, book some time with me, or fill out a consultation ("Ask Us") request form here.
New to Zotero?
Looking to learn more about how this free, easy-to-use citation manager can help collect, store, and organize your references? Join us for an upcoming Intro to Zotero online workshop.
In this 45-minute virtual class, UVA's School of Nursing Liaison Librarian Amanda Datesman will cover the basics of Zotero - from setting up preferences to citing while your write and creating a bibliography. There'll be plenty of time for questions as well.
