Albemarle-Charlottesville Historical Society. A research center and local museum with collections focused on the history of the Albemarle County and the City of Charlottesville. The Historical Society also publishes the Magazine of Albemarle-Charlottesville History.
Cvillepedia. A community-based wiki, with entires on many Charlottesville- and UVA-affiliated individuals, events, and locations.
Encyclopedia Virginia. A reliable and user-friendly resource on the history and culture of Virginia, containing numerous topical and biographical entries. Maintained by Virginia Humanities.
Historical Markers in Charlottesville, VA. Information on 67 historical markers and war memorials found in the City of Charlottesville. Data is also available for markers found in Albemarle County. Database maintained by HMDb.org.
Jefferson School African American Heritage Center. The Jefferson School features historical and art exhibitions, educational opportunities, and events which honor and promote the heritage of the African American community in Charlottesville and Albemarle County.
Monticello's Jefferson Library. The Library holds collections related to Jefferson and provides research support and services, such as the online Thomas Jefferson Encyclopedia.
United Campus Workers of Virginia at UVA. This local UCWVA chapter was started in 2020 in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. They publish online Zines, news articles, and campaign materials.
